OSCAR winner NATALIE PORTMAN has given birth to her first child. The actress, who turned 30 last week, was claimed to have had a boy with her ballet dancer fianc? BENJAMIN MILLEPIED. The pair met on the set of ‘Swan’ where Millepied — a principal dancer in the New York City Ballet — choreographed the dances and played her partner on screen. Portman won the Best Actress Oscar for her role in the film.
“We got along right away; she’s very, very professional, not difficult – there’s no attitude there,” Millepied told Vulture of first working with his now fiancee.
Natalie picked up her first Oscar in February for her role as a self-mutilating ballet dancer in director DARREN ARONOFSKY’s psychological thriller. In her acceptance speech she paid tribute to “my beautiful love, Benjamin Millepied, who has now given me my most important role of my life”.
She also won a Best Actress Bafta for the role but did not attend the London ceremony because she was too far along in her pregnancy to fly. When announcing her pregnancy, Natalie said: “I have always kept my private life private but I will say that I am indescribably happy and feel very grateful to have this experience.”
