Tunisian designer Azzedine Alaia opened his first Parisian atelier in the 1970s, using the experience he gained from working at Dior and Thierry Mugler. He was a hit with Hollywood’s elite and in 1980 launched his own ready-to-wear collection. He was instantly crowned the ‘King of Cling’ – his second-skin dresses helped define the era’s style aesthetic. Expect intricately crafted ankle boots, statement ponyskin totes and chic laser-cut belts.
Seeing someone wearing an Azzedine Alaia boot worn on the street is like seeing a rare bird in the wild. Because of this, we must appreciate Azzedine Ala?a from afar and believe me, I am doing that right now.
These Azzedine Alaia Boots are so different and so beautiful. They are like a couture work boot. The leather has been cut into a lace like pattern which is such an amazing detail. I also love the utilitarian sole and cotton laces on a shoe that looks like it should be sleek and streamlined.Related posts:
