Have you heard Marc Jacobs saying that Sofia Coppola was “a friend” in that Jimmy Fallon video? How wonderful it must be to have your friends working for… ahem with you! Sofia just did another collection of bags for Louis Vuitton and she’s proudly toting the new creations already!
And what a better luxury product representation than having it capture the flashes of thousands paparazzi cameras? The bag looks pretty normal, without any excess logo-ing or frilly accessories to make it pop. Discrete, I’d say, even to the point of losing brand identity. However, when you see Sofia wearing it, it doesn’t look quite average. (actually forget the bag that actually looks very similar to the one she designed in the past, take a look at Sofia’s wedges and tell me what you think – can anyone identify them?
If there’s one person in Hollywood who has done it all, it’s Sofia Coppola. Born into a fame-filled family (mother Eleanor Coppola, father Francis Ford Coppola, and cousins Nicolas Cage and Jason Schwartzman), Sofia Coppola seemed to be destined for greatness at a young age.
She interned with Chanel at the age of fifteen and launched Milkfed, her fashion line only available in Japan, after graduating from college. And she’s dabbled in acting, appearing in seven of her father’s films, but is currently pouring her energies into directing films, her most recent being “Somewhere” — resulting in tons of premieres decked out in Louis Vuitton.
Overall, Sofia favors classically feminine pieces in simple colors, but sometimes she’ll mix in a little plaid or some feathers. Check out Sofia’s style evolution and let us know which looks you love and which should be left in the past.Related posts:
